FAQs
What is the standard design and tattoo process?
At the beginning stages of the design process, it is vital to elaborate on location, size, and design details. Depending on Brice’s schedule, he typically curates his designs within 24 hours before your scheduled appointment date. At the start of his appointment, he consults with the client directly about the design he has developed based on the client's communication. Brice collaborates with the client until they are satisfied with their final design, and they will proceed with the tattooing process as necessary. Note that all processes and cases can be different based on various circumstances. Please contact Brice via text at 309-360-0516 for additional questions and inquiries.
How much will this cost?
Price is determined by several factors such as placement, size, and design detail. If you are looking to get a quote, please request from Brice directly.
Does it hurt?
The simple answer is yes, it does hurt. Pain is relative. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain, especially when considering the location. However, it is not as bad as some people believe. FUN FACT: Our brain releases endorphins when your body is in pain, so that you may keep going — so who knows, you might love it.
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
We highly recommend that you are well-nourished and rested before your appointment, eat a small meal, and drink plenty of water. If you start to feel dizzy, please let Brice know.
It is best not to come in after a hard night of partying. Alcohol can thin your blood and prolong the amount of bleeding, which can affect the final appearance of your fully healed artwork.
Aside from that, take a shower and charge your phone beforehand. Only one guest is allowed to accompany you. Upon arrival, please contact Brice directly.
Do I need an appointment?
Brice typically schedules clients by appointment only, especially depending on the complexity of a design. However, he currently accepts walk-ins at Big Top Tattoos.
Can I get tattooed with my friend?
Only two guests are allowed to accompany each client. If you are looking to get a tattoo with a friend or have a tattoo party, please inquire with Brice so we may schedule accordingly. Brice is also available for house calls and private tattoo parties, subject to additional fees such as travel, time, etc.
